With another warm and dry Summer coming to a close (bar the last couple of weeks), I hope you have been enjoying as much golf as possible and your game has improved! I think we can all agree that the golf course is looking in great shape if a little dry in places and the greens have made a strong recovery from the maintenance last month.
Our greenkeepers are now planning the fairway maintenance to recover the lost grass from the last few years of very dry weather. We have invested around £5k in grass seed to repair 10 of our fairways and will be starting this work this week now we regrettably have some consistent rainfall to give the seed the best chance to germinate.
I am very excited to announce that we are currently in the process of refurbishing our driving range for the addition of TopTracer technology in 10 of our indoor bays. The range will soon have a fresh new look with brand new mats, balls and custom-built targets in the outfield along with bay heaters and numerous other improvements.
The TopTracer technology being installed delivers the same ball-tracking technology that traces the shots of the game’s best players on TV. It features games and modes suited for all ages and skill levels from long-drive competitions, Closest to the Pin, dive into advanced analytics to fine-tune your swing or virtually tee it up at some of the world’s greatest courses.
I will be sending out regular updates to our members regarding the progress of this range project along with the dates and details of the official launch weekend where we will be running lots of competitions and giving away lots of prizes. Winter golf has just got a lot more appealing!
