March Golf News
Monday 2nd March 2020
Although the weather hasn’t shown any signs of great improvement as the day light draws out it gives a little hope of spring being on the way!
The greenkeepers are working tirelessly keeping the course open wherever possible. In comparison to many courses in the area, they have done a fantastic job keeping the condition as good as it is.
Great work has begun on our new practice bunker in the short game area. Much of the groundwork has been completed ready for finishing touches and a fresh load of sand. This will be open and ready for use in the spring ready for the season ahead.
We are proud to be hosting an event for the British Junior Golf Tour on Sunday 15th March. The event has sold out and we will be welcoming around 90 junior golfers from 5 through to 17 years old from across the country. The course will be available for our members before 9am and a number of reciprocal tee times will be available for several local courses throughout the rest of the day. These tee times will be displayed on the notice board in the Sports Bar available on a first come first serve basis. I will email all members to let you know when these will be available.
Entries are open for both our Mixed Open on the 15th July and the Seniors Open on 13th August. For further details or to enter please see the listings on Golf Empire or email Simon – [email protected]

Users of the driving range may have noticed a change in the tokens. If you have any old-style tokens, please take them to reception and exchange for the new version. This change has also seen the installation of a debit/credit card reader at the dispenser to allow quick access to balls without having to go to reception to buy a token.
Spring is on the way so it will soon be time to enjoy the course, we would like to thank all of our members for their support and understanding during this wet winter!
